DUALS new store open in Matakana

45 minutes north of Auckland, Matakana has the qualities of DUAL's hometown Lyttelton - unique stores, fabulous food, cafes and the famous Farmers Market every Saturday.

Like the aesthetics of her current collection Caros new retail store, looking out onto the Farmers Market, in Matakana Village, will tug at fashionistas heartstrings as she says the DUAL store embodies a whimsical sense of romanticism. I feel very fortunate to have two retail shops in the most stunning places in New Zealand. While Matakanas surroundings are the visual antithesis of Lyttelton, the common denominator between the two is their exceptional service including alterations and hemming on the spot.

Working closely with our customers, patterns and styles are constantly evolving to find the perfect cut and fit. Through popular demand we are back producing womans and mens fashion, as the entire process from design , pattern making, cutting, machining to retail takes place in-house we are able to ensure DUALs garments are of the highest quality.

Stylish and durable, these designs liberate people who struggle to find the "perfect" fit and want the satisfaction of purchasing a well-tailored garment that will stand the test of time.  It is for those people who demand a sustainable product in today's throwaway society.

DUALs new mens range

As guys gear up for spring and summer, DUAL is more than obliging offering up modish opportunities for them to express themselves in Raglan sleeve tops in cotton rib and polo and V tops with trans-seasonal qualities.

The mens range, produced in a diverse range of grunty fabrics, has a strong, masculine and urban feel to it and trousers come in fitting or straight leg, as well as wide leg in full or short length."I am starting with a mature version of where I left menswear back in 1999. although it is a small range I am pleased as it has a staunch but sophisticated edge to it" Caro says.

For professional personality with an edge, the Border Jacket in bull denim and python reverse features angled pockets and a clean v neckline. The Ground Pant with square internal front and back pockets in a wide, straight or fitted leg is all about functional style for men, as is the fit friendly Base Pant and Base Short.

To ensure DUAL produces pants of the highest quality, the entire process from design, pattern making, cutting and construction takes place in-house in DUAL'S waterfront workshop.  A team of highly skilled craftspeople using quality fabrics, solid brass attachments, heavy duty thread and exceptional finishing contribute to the final result.
